Today we went to the local used bookstore, Poe House Books (I always try to go to a local used bookstore when I'm on vacation haha). They had some cool mountaineering/arctic books. My bookstore will always be the best..this one had cobwebs and dirt on the windows and the books weren't in that good of shape..one interesting one I looked at was ( Read more... )

Yesterday mom and I went to Grapevine Lake..it was HOT haha. Apparently soon you'll have to PAY to go to the lake. Whaaaat! We had lunch there and walked around. There were some deer, raccoon and bird prints by the water. We sat on some rocks for a bit (and hoped no spiders would crawl on me..). So yesterday the flight to Anchorage left at..10 something PM. I saw the Chena and Tanana Rivers and possibly Nenana (the village) but then it got too cloudy to see anything (even though it was dark you could still see the ground). Yesterday dad and I picked Dana up at the airport and when I got home I showed her around and then took a walk..it was warm! Dana's cheerful and happy haha. She loved my cats and they loved her back haha. Then we took pictures and watched my Frank DVD and then Troy and then went out to eat at Olive Garden. It was her first time eating there. Sleeping over at Caitlin's was fun! We watched Alexander first...she didn't really like it except for the battle of Gaugamela...she was all like "CHARGE!! FIGHT!! YEAAAH!!" Last night me and my mom went to watch fireworks. We sat chairs next to the car and blared Rhapsody from the speakers! It was sooo fun. We found the perfect place too...we could see 3 shows at once!
